Bounty Fresh and Chooks-to-Go Help Typhoon Victims
When typhoon “Sendong” struck the cities of
Cagayan de Oro and Iligan, nobody was prepared for the destruction it will bring. Lives and property were lost. It was truly unexpected, especially just when Christmas is around the corner and everyone is supposed to be festive and happy.
In times of terrible loss and tragedy, the Pinoy sense of bayanihan will soon take hold. It didn’t take long for Filipinos to come together to pool resources to help their kababayans in need.
Bounty Fresh Chicken and Chooks-to-Go, the largest chain of take-out roasted chicken, initiated daily Feeding Programs in various areas of CDO and Iligan which have been ongoing since Dec. 20 and will last up to Dec. 24.
Bounty Fresh employees from Cagayan de Oro, headed by Asst. Vice President Mr. Danilo Boy, have been to Barangays Balulang, Carmen, Tibasak and Macasandig, as well as the Kauswagan Bridge and the Somo funeral parlor, to distribute arroz caldo and hard boiled eggs. More than 1,000 people have been able to partake of the food brought in by Bounty Fresh.
As shown by the Bounty Fresh employees, it really doesn’t take much to share. And just like the rain, blessings can also come pouring in when shared from the heart.
